Our 3 Branches

HARVESTING

Kalulu has its own team of experts, known as “Bush Healers”. They are highly skilled workers trained to selectively remove problematic encroachment bush and to leave and identify protected or rare species of plant and tree to obtain optimum biodiversity of the savannahs. Our Bush healers can act as a bush thinning/removal team, or they can provide training and educational services to land users, who wish to harvest themselves, but may be unsure of the best practices by which to do this.

OFF TAKE

Kalulu buys biomass from land users in Namibia and then transports the biomass to their plants being developed in Namibia and South Africa, where final processing, storage and analysis take place. The biochar output will be distributed for agriculture and used for the restoration of natural environments. The production of electricity will be the initial offtake into micro grids and later, green hydrogen to fuel the transport corridors as the commercial use of green hydrogen as fuel source is developed.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Our projects already bring huge benefits to the environment, but we have a particular aim to protect wildlife and have collaborated with several wildlife charities and seek to help many more wherever we can. By specifically targeting wildlife parks and areas where there are endangered species under threat, we hope to return the Savannahs to their original balance of grass and trees where the wildlife can once again thrive.
